Perch Wine Co. was founded in 2020 by Adam Saake, a Sacramento native, with the intention of making wine on a smaller scale but with big heart. Amador was the launching pad where great vineyards were in plain sight and Adam’s past work history in the area provided him with a network of friends and mentors to help find the very best sources. After making the first two vintages at the historic Harbor Winery in West Sacramento, the growth of the brand called for a move to Lodi to spread the wings. This move launched the beginning of Lodi wine production and Perch has begun to also explore the vast history and pedigree of the Lodi AVA. Perch remains below a 600 case production with a focus on small lot, often single vineyard wines that allow for quality and character to shine.
