2022 OLD VINE Zinfandel
This Old Vine Zinfandel is from the last remaining centennial vines planted at Fox Creek in the Shenandoah Valley. If you’ve had my Zinfandel in the past, this is where that fruit was sourced and since I decided to work with some of the younger fruit last year, I thought it would be neat to ferment and bottle the Old Vine on it’s own and showcase the special wine that it is. This will be the last vintage of 100% Old Vine fruit from this block, as it is set to be retired afer many years of making great wines. Aged in 500L neutral puncheon and bottled after 11 months. This wine is elegent and aromatic; textured and taught, yet giving. A serious wine of pleasure. 13.5% alc
