2025 marked the second year of working with the Historic Vines Society’s Esola Vineyard in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County. This head-trained, dry farmed Zinfandel vineyard owned by the venerable Denise Esola is planted in granitic soils and produces a wine with intense aromatics and structure all while retaining great acidity and freshness. The fuit was de-stemmed and fermented with native yeast then aged in neutral oak barrels for 11 months before being bottles unfitered.
