Jeff and John Perlegos lovingly tend the organically farmed Stampede Vineyard in the Clements Hills AVA of Lodi. This vineyard is an own rooted mixed planting going back to the 1920’s—mostly Zinfandel—and includes varieties like Mission, Mataro, Alicante Bouschet and Carignane. A beautifully perfumed red wine and a perfect reminder that Zinfandel is a wine of pleasure. The fruit was de-stemmed, fermented with native yeast and aged for 11 months in neutral barrels before bottling unfiltered.
